ES greatly reduces damage taken (up to 95%) by transferring it to Mana, which is far easier to stack and regenerate because of items like Soj.
If you will use this gear for PvP (Player vs Player), we recommend using Fire Bolt instead of Fire Ball so you can spam it without running out of Mana.
You should consider using Metalgrid amulet for duels and long games. You can use Insight to create Iron Golem from it and it will retain the aura! Golem will be destroyed if you leave the game, if you die or your Golem dies, in such case you will need to destroy another Insight to re-cast it.
