Eth SA is a medium armor and has the highest defense overall but also requires a higher level. Merc from Nightmare can reach 222 Str on lvl 83 with Andy +30 Str (+10 from Fal Rune or Perf Amethyst), lvl 86 with Andy 25+ (+10), lvl 89 with Andy +30 and lvl 91 with Andy 25+. It will also make him walk/run 5% slower but it is not important for merc, especially if you move around with Teleport.
